Crosslane Student Developments, part of the Crosslane Group, has won best student accommodation developer at this year’s prestigious EducationInvestor Awards for “the range and creativity of its student accommodation developments”, and its “consultative, student first approach to design”.
The award recognises Crosslane’s consistency in creating high-quality, purpose-built and conveniently located student accommodation across some of the UK’s largest student cities. Crosslane has established a proven track record in student accommodation since 2008, having developed a portfolio of over 4,000 PBSA beds across Europe, with a further 117 beds currently under construction. Its comprehensive approach to development, coupled with its depth of expertise in all aspects of property management, has secured the Group contracts with leading sector players, including Unite, Knightsbridge, and National Bank of Kuwait.
Notable developments from the 2016/17 academic year have included The Old Printworks, Edinburgh, which has been shortlisted as finalist for the Scottish Property Awards 2018, Albert Place, Newcastle and Brass Founders, Sheffield, among others. Each state-of-the-art development has been sensitively incorporated into the local area, and blends high quality materials and design, with a broad range of facilities and communal internal layouts, to provide students with a new, unique university experience. With a growing popularity among students, and a substantial development pipeline for both the UK and Continental Europe, the future looks bright for Crosslane.
Launched eight years ago, the EducationInvestor Awards recognise excellence in the UK’s fast-growing education industry. An independent judging panel of experts drawn from across the sector bring industry experience and market knowledge to recognise organisations and individuals that have made an outstanding contribution to education this academic year.
Andy Whatson, Director of Crosslane Student Developments, accepted the award on behalf of Crosslane on 5 December 2017 at the London Hilton on Park Lane.
