Crosslane shortlisted as finalist for RICS Awards 2018, Yorkshire & Humber

Crosslane has been shortlisted as a finalist for the RICS Awards 2018 in the Yorkshire & Humber region, for our Brass Founders Sheffield project – a high-specification, 437 bed purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) development.

Brass Founders was designed to answer the increasing expectations of today’s students: balancing an inclusive and collaborative social community with high-quality, budget-certain rooms.  The design draws upon insight from extensive student research, in conjunction with our knowhow and expertise gained from ten previous developments completed over the past six years.

The £21.7m scheme is ideally situated for the University of Sheffield and Sheffield Hallam: being within five minutes’ walk of the University of Sheffield International College building and within 15 minutes’ walk of both university main campus buildings. Brass Founders was fully let by Prime Student Living, part of the Crosslane group, for the start of the 2017/18 academic year: indicative of the development’s popularity with students.

The RICS Awards showcase the most inspirational initiatives and developments in land, real estate, construction and infrastructure. Across eight individual categories, the awards are regarded as the premier property and construction awards in the country, celebrating the most innovative projects in the region and their impact on local communities. The awards received a record number of entries for 2018, which is reflective of ever increasing standards and ambition in the industry, and RICS’ standing as a leader in setting international standards.

The awards ceremony will take place on the 11th May 2018 at the Centenary Pavilion, Leeds United Football Club.
