Secured Development Pipeline

CPG has 11 secure sites in its future development pipeline to deliver a portfolio of 2,819 beds over a two year period, with 7 of these sites already having planning consent and two further sites awaiting a planning decision outcome.

For 2 of the 7 planning consents already obtained, CPG has submitted amended planning applications to increase beds numbers through design efficiencies to drive increased returns.

Remaining sites are in the process of obtaining planning, together with negotiations underway on securing JCT build contracts on a fixed price basis.

In addition, a further 25 opportunities have been identified comprising circa 6,000 additional beds.

The scale of the future pipeline, in addition to beds already developed, means CPG would become one of the major players in the PBSA sector by 2020

CPG has two new build PBSA developments currently under construction.

One in Leeds due for practical completion in September 2017 representing 117 beds, producing c.£1.1m of annual net rental income.

The other development in Portsmouth is a new build 19 storey property which has a longer construction programme, so is due to practical completion ahead of the start of the 2019/20 academic year.
