Crosslane wins best Student Accommodation Developer at EducationInvestor Awards 2017
Crosslane Student Developments, part of the Crosslane Group, has won best student accommodation developer at this year’s prestigious EducationInvestor Awards for “the range and creativity of its student accommodation developments”, and its “consultative, student first approach to design”.
The award recognises Crosslane’s consistency in creating high-quality, purpose-built and conveniently located student accommodation across some of the UK’s largest student cities.

The Property Week Student Accommodation Awards celebrate and reward the innovators and trailblazers in the PBSA sector over the past year.
Crosslane was shortlisted as a finalist in two categories; Developer of the year and Operator of the year, demonstrating in-house competence and ability in providing a fully integrated and complete end-to-end student accommodation solution.
Crosslane develops high-quality, conveniently located, purpose-built student accommodation across the UK and was recognised for its achievements over the last 12 months with the development of 3 flagship assets totalling 808 beds. A £31m new build scheme was completed on time & on budget in Edinburgh on behalf of Unite who forward funded the project.
Prime Student Living the Crosslane lettings and operational management platform was recognised for its 98% occupancy level, 94% customer satisfaction, providing a caring and nurturing environment for residents and building collaborative relationships with local universities.
Crosslane Student Developments shortlisted for the Education Investor Awards 2017
Crosslane Student Developments, part of the Crosslane Group, has been shortlisted for the Education Investor Awards in the Student Accommodation Developer category.
The awards cover the 2016/17 period and as part of the submission Crosslane presented details of three new developments opening for the 2017/18 academic year. The developments contribute a combined total of over 800 student beds across three popular university cities where demand continuously outstrips supply.
- The Old Printworks is a new 237 bed purpose-built, high specification scheme comprising a mix of studio apartments and cluster flat bedrooms in Edinburgh city centre
- Albert Place is a high-specification 134 bed scheme located in central Newcastle.
- Brass Founders is a new development in Sheffield comprising 437 beds, 144 of which will be high specification self-contained studio apartments and 293 premium en-suite bedrooms in clusters of over six bedrooms sharing a lounge, kitchen and dining area.

Crosslane Student Developments, part of the Crosslane Group, has been shortlisted for Business Insider’s North East Property Awards in both the Refit/Refurbishment of the Year and Residential Development of the Year categories.
Crosslane submitted its St James’ House development, a 147-bed high specification studio scheme in Newcastle, for both awards. The property showcases Crosslane’s ability to successfully refurbish an existing property to a high standard providing a quality living environment for students.
The North East Property Awards are one of eight regional property awards in the UK’s biggest cities outside of London, recognising the most successful companies and projects over the previous year. The award ceremony will take place on Thursday 4 May 2017 at the Marriot Hotel Gosforth Park, High Gosforth Park, Newcastle upon Tyne.

Crosslane Student Developments, part of the Crosslane Group, has been shortlisted for the prestigious RICS Awards 2017 in the North East Residential Category.
Crosslane entered St James’ House, its 147 bed studio scheme in Newcastle, for the award, as the property demonstrates Crosslane’s ability to successfully acquire, secure planning permission and develop an existing property to a high standard, achieving practical completion on time and on budget. St James’ House was completed in August 2016 ahead of the start of the 2016/17 academic year.
St James’ House in particular has been recognised for its convenient location, high quality and sustainable design, innovative use of space, social experience and using research to create an environment that meets the demands of today’s more discerning students.
